What makes this different from Hevy or Strong?

Hevy and Strong are great loggers. uppr also tells you what to do next. It estimates your 1RM from every set, gives you weight and rep targets based on your actual strength, and adjusts your plan based on how you felt. Think logger vs. coach.

How does it compare to RP Hypertrophy or Juggernaut?

RP and Juggernaut pioneered science-based training apps. We added equipment awareness (they don't know what gym you're in), AI plan import, discovery mode, multiple gym profiles, and a free tier that's genuinely usable. The comparison table is honest.

Do I need to understand RIR or periodisation?

Nope. RIR is the engine under the hood. You just log your sets, rate how it felt, and the app handles progression. If you do understand it, the target RIR is shown on every exercise.
